Meet the OVL team

Martin Wedge is our CEO and founded OVL Group in 1989 in a small office in the centre of Oxford. His vision was to create a vehicle leasing company to give business to business customers outstanding and long-term service.

Early success was built on by recruiting fabulous talent who shared his vision. This can be seen by the length of service of many of the team.

There have been many changes in the market since 1989, and of course none less than we have experienced in 2020, but the agile nature of the business and the outstanding quality of the team has meant that OVL Group has gone from strength to strength.

Martin keeps close to clients and is always interested to gain their feedback. Here is what one such client wrote about OVL Group:

Scott Allen is our Managing Director and has worked for the group since 2005.

Scott was Sales Director from June 2022-April 2025 and now as Managing Director continues to be focussed on building a bright future for the business.

If there’s anything that Scott doesn’t know about vehicle leasing, it's probably not worth knowing! He’s also the resident "IT support" for the team in the office!

Scott has built excellent relationships over the years, here’s a recent testimonial for him:

Chris Tunnell is one of our Senior Account Directors and has worked for the group since 2010.

Chris works across the business but has excellent knowledge in commercial vehicle leasing.

Prior to joining OVL Chris worked as a Sales Executive in the Broker Division at Lex Autolease.

Matt Eade is one of our Account Managers and joined the business in January 2025.

He has a deep understanding of the electric vehicle market and a passion for helping customers make informed purchasing decisions.

Matt is committed to delivering excellent customer service and always staying ahead of the latest industry trends.

Neil Taylor has worked for OVL since 2005 and a recent change has seen him move from his role as Sales Director to become a part time Account Manager.

Neil's role will continue to utilise the excellent knowledge he has, thanks to thirty-plus years working in the vehicle leasing industry.

Geoff Edrich is Marketing Manager at OVL and has worked for the group for over 10 years.

Geoff had worked with OVL during his 10 years with Lex Vehicle Leasing and 11 years as Account Director with Lombard Vehicle Management so joining OVL was an obvious progression.

"Coming to join Martin and his team at OVL was an exciting opportunity and to be part of such an enthusiastic and customer friendly organisation, makes coming to work a real pleasure” says Geoff, “and a lot of fun too."

Joanna Ryland is our Sales Support and Compliance Manager and joined OVL in 2021 bringing with her a wealth of experience.

Joanna has worked in various customer service roles at Lex Autolease, latterly as Customer Service Manager with a team of 14 people. Her knowledge and contacts are second to none as is her attention to detail throughout the customer journey. In her role, she strives to deliver a streamlined process in sales support whilst overseeing our compliance to industry and regulatory requirements.

Adam Kemp joined the OVL team in August 2026 as Operations Manager and brings with him a wealth of experience. Adam has been supporting fleets since 1996 in various Senior Management roles in Sales, Procurement, Partnerships and Operations. He is an EV advocate, building his knowledge since 2011 and has extensive experience supporting SMEs and the B2B sector.

In his role as Operations Manager at OVL Adam will be embracing new technologies to ensure our processes are efficient and connected and will focus on enhancing customer support to ensure every customer receives a smooth, responsive experience. In addition, Adam will support the transition to lower-carbon mobility, through more sustainable solutions and ways of working.

Adam says, “I’m looking forward to working with the team, learning from our customers and partners, and helping build an operation that is efficient, innovative and ready for the future.”

Maxine Nye is in Operations Support for the OVL Group.

Maxine has worked at the group for 6 years. Her commitment to giving outstanding service is driven by her organisation skills and attention to detail.
